Angel Kelly BFA ’21 has many passions and pursuits, and she won’t put any of them on the sidelines. A fine arts major with a concentration in drawing, Kelly is also pursuing two minors: one in psychology and the other in Asian studies, with a concentration in Japanese. She plans to bring all of these interests and skills together to build a career in art therapy.
Kristen Canda grew up in Cleveland Ohio, and received her BFA in 2017 from Ohio Wesleyan University, where she concentrated and drawing, painting, and ceramics. In this Spotlight, she talks about drawing inspiration from childhood and bringing attention to everyday domestic objects through vibrant, vivid color.
Once a WSU interior design major, Shelley Brinkley returned to our department in 2020 to complete her BA in Art History with a Minor in Art. In this Spotlight, she talks about her recent curatorial work entitled "Cultivating Identity", her love of art history, and her dream of becoming an art administrator.
Assistant Professor Jessika Edgar is the Area Coordinator of Ceramics. She joined the Art Department faculty in Fall 2018. Daynah Grant is all about standing out and standing for something, fusing her passions for Cosplay, alternative fashion, and social causes through her design projects at WSU.
