Festival of Arts show to be held today

The annual “Festival of Arts” hosted by the historic Nativity Episcopal Church in Bloomfield Township will be held today through Sunday. Wayne State University professor Urban Jupena, whose specialty is fibers, will be the honored juror for the fine arts competition. Jupena recently presented at the International Triennial of Tapestry in Lodz, Poland. Wayne State Fashion and Textiles director Rayneld Johnson — and student Erica Woodliff — will showcase “Art to Wear.”

WSU art professor Urban Jupena, who is an accomplished fiber artist with numerous commissions in public spaces, is a juror for Bloomfield Township's "Festival of Arts," Sep. 16-18, 2011, at the historic Nativity Episcopal Church.
