Art student strikes a chord with chance

Wayne State University Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program award recipient and art major, Stephen Dueweke, had his undergraduate research project titled 'playCAGE' accepted at the 2014 Grand Rapids ArtPrize. Dueweke was selected as one of 25 artists for a $2,000 award by ArtPrize's Artist Seed Grants panel.

Art majors Dueweke and Franz win undergraduate research awards...

Wayne State's Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program, UROP, announced support for 31 undergraduate research and creative project proposals for Winter-Spring/Summer 2014. Among them are the project titled playCAGE: A Sound Proposal by Stephen Dueweke, advised by Prof. Jeffrey Abt, and the project titled From Detroit to San Francisco: A Cultural Link with the Diego Rivera Frescoes by Bridget Franz, advised by Prof. Margi Weir.
