Semester.
Through
Pipeline on the student tab you will click on "Apply for Degree or
Certificate."
Winter
2009
Registration
will
begin November 3 at 7:00 am.

Department

Back

Summer
officially ends this weekend and with it brings trips to orchards,
shifting to sweatshirts and sweaters and the ever increasing need
to bury your nose in a book. Welcome back to Autumn in
Michigan
.
This
year the Department of Art and Art History welcomes many new faces
to it's halls including a new chair, Dr.
Christiane L. Joost-Gaugier
, a new graphic design professor, Danielle Aubert
and a new graphic design/electronic arts professor, Christobal
Mendoza. They will soon be finding that the slide to winter
can be quite quick.
Dr.
Joost-Gaugier, a distinguished art historian and Renaissance
scholar, has returned to academe after a period of research and
publishing. She has held faculty appointments from
Tufts University
,
New Mexico
State University,
University
of
New Mexico
and taught while an independent scholar in
Washington
D.C.
at
George
Washington
University
,
Georgetown
University
and the
University
of
Maryland
,
College Park
.

Arts
in the Legislature
Bethany
Patterson represent Wayne State

For
the last four years,
Wayne
State
University
has participated in Arts
in the Legislature,
a collaborative program with the President's Council,
State
Universities
of
Michigan
, the Michigan State Senate and the Michigan State House
of Representatives.
This year the works of WSU Painting student, Bethany
Patterson, will represent the Department of Art and Art
History in the halls of the Michigan State Government
Buildings.

for more information about the reception at the capital.
